L4. Disaster Cultures and Risk Governance
Outline
The goal of this line is to analyze the role that cultural differences play in understanding and facing
disasters. Hence, its research work is focused on the way local communities generate knowledge about
hazards and how these local experiences may help in the design of educational and participatory
interventions, thus consolidating a culturally sensitive political agenda on resilience in Chile.
